Facility Operations & Maintenance

Defense Information Systems Agency

Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Computing Services data centers provide routine and mission-critical computer processing resources and support to numerous government agencies on a fee-for-service basis, 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

DISA operates a large amount of mechanical and electrical equipment necessary to provide continuous, redundant environmental support to mission-critical computer processing equipment at this site. Because of the complexity and constancy of this support, DISA requires dedicated maintenance, repair, engineering, and other service support work in order to ensure that mission-critical infrastructure support equipment is continuously available. SSI supports these services for DISA.

SSI provides 24/7 operations, maintenance, and repair services for Region 8. Denver, Colorado. Operational checks of all HVAC, electrical and emergency power systems are conducted during each of the three shift periods. Preventative and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM), operational checks, custodial services, and repair tasks are scheduled using a computerized maintenance management program. The PM/PdM program includes identification of malfunctions or deficiencies and generates SSI initiated corrective repairs.
